Membership terms

1 About the membership

Charlie AK Membership is a free customer and membership programme provided by:

By creating a membership account and accepting these membership terms, you enter into an agreement with Charlie AK AB.

The membership gives access to points, rewards, member offers, personal invitations, events, experiences and other benefits as described on medlem.charlieak.com.

The membership is personal and may not be transferred, sold or used by anyone else.

2 Who can become a member?

To become a member you need to:

provide correct and complete details
have a valid email address
create a personal membership account
accept these membership terms

If you are under 18, you need the consent of a guardian to become a member.

Alcohol is only served to persons who have turned 18. Charlie AK may request valid identification at events or experiences where alcohol is served.

A membership may not be created using a false identity, a temporary email address or anyone else's contact details.

3 Your membership account

You are responsible for ensuring that the details in your membership account are correct and up to date.

You are responsible for protecting your password and login details. You must not share them with anyone.

Charlie AK may request information needed to verify your identity, correct an error or protect the account against unauthorised use.

You may only have one active membership account. We may merge or close duplicate accounts and correct points and benefits that have been registered incorrectly.

4 Cost

It is free to become and remain a member.

Individual products, events or experiences may involve a cost. In such cases, the price and any special conditions will be shown before you complete a booking or purchase.

5 Qualifying purchases

Points and other purchase-based benefits can be earned on qualifying purchases at Charlie AK.

A qualifying purchase is a purchase that:

has been made by the member
has been linked to the member's account
has been paid and not refunded
is not subject to any specific exclusion clearly stated before the purchase

Points are calculated on the amount actually paid after discounts.

Shipping costs, fees, gift cards and purchases of other payment instruments do not earn points. When a gift card is used, points may be earned on the qualifying product purchase.

For a purchase in the physical store to be registered, you need to identify yourself as a member in connection with the purchase. Purchases cannot normally be registered retroactively unless we expressly approve it.

6 Points

As a member you normally earn 10 points per paid krona on qualifying purchases.

Points are registered provisionally after the purchase and become available once the purchase has been approved and any applicable return period has passed.

Points:

are personal
cannot be transferred or sold
cannot be redeemed for cash
are not a means of payment
can only be used according to the rules shown in the member account
are rounded according to the calculation rules used in the membership programme

Available points are valid for 12 months from the day they become available, unless another validity period is clearly stated in connection with a specific campaign or reward.

Points are used first in, first out.

You are responsible for using points and rewards before their validity period expires. Expired points are normally not restored.

7 Returns and corrections

If a purchase is returned, refunded, cancelled or otherwise no longer qualifies, Charlie AK has the right to:

withdraw the corresponding points
correct cashback and rewards
correct the membership level
withdraw an invitation reward
adjust an incorrect balance

If you have already used points or a reward that later is to be withdrawn, the corresponding value may be deducted from your current or future balance.

We have the right to correct obvious technical errors, duplicate registrations and incorrectly allocated points or rewards. We will inform you of a correction that has substantial significance for your membership.

8 Membership levels

Charlie AK Membership consists of the levels The Key, Insider Access and House Muse.

The Key

The Key applies from the day the membership is created.

The level may, among other things, give access to:

Bubbel in the store for you and your friends
points on qualifying purchases
3 per cent back on qualifying purchases
a welcome gift when a qualified invited friend makes a purchase
invitations to member events

Insider Access

Insider Access is achieved when, during a rolling period of 12 months, you meet at least one of the following requirements:

three invited friends become members and each make a qualifying purchase
you earn 100,000 points

The level may, among other things, give access to:

all benefits in The Key
private previews of new collections
5 per cent back on qualifying purchases
the possibility to book Dine & Design
invitations to selected Insider Access events

House Muse

House Muse is achieved when, during a rolling period of 12 months, you meet at least one of the following requirements:

five invited friends become members and each make a qualifying purchase, and you complete at least one Dine & Design
you earn 200,000 points

The level may, among other things, give access to:

all benefits in Insider Access
7.5 per cent back on qualifying purchases
private events for House Muse
the possibility to influence upcoming garments and details
personal styling
priority service

9 Validity of the levels

When you achieve Insider Access or House Muse, the level applies for 12 months from the day the level is activated.

After the period, a new assessment is made based on your qualifying purchases, points, invitations and completed experiences during the current twelve-month period.

If the requirements are no longer met, the membership level may be adjusted.

Points, purchases or invitations withdrawn due to returns, errors or misuse may affect the membership level.

The member account shall show the current level and, where practically possible, how far you have come towards the next level.

10 Cashback

The membership levels may provide the following cashback on qualifying purchases:

The Key: 3 per cent
Insider Access: 5 per cent
House Muse: 7.5 per cent

Cashback is calculated based on the membership level that is active when the qualifying purchase is registered.

Cashback becomes available once the purchase has been approved and any applicable return period has passed.

Cashback:

is personal
cannot be redeemed for cash
cannot be transferred or sold
is used according to the instructions in the member account
may be subject to a minimum purchase threshold or other restrictions shown before it is used
is valid for 12 months from the day it becomes available, unless otherwise stated

In case of a return or refund, the cashback may be corrected or withdrawn.

11 Friend invitations

As a member, you can create a personal invitation for someone you believe would appreciate Charlie AK.

Invitations are personal and must not be:

published as general discount codes
sold or transferred for compensation
sent to people who do not wish to receive them
used to create duplicate or fake accounts
used for self-invitations or other attempts to circumvent the rules

We recommend that you share the personal invitation link with the recipient yourself.

If you provide another person's contact details to Charlie AK, you are responsible for the details being correct and for the person having asked you to send the invitation.

12 The 300 kronor welcome gift

An invited new member may receive a welcome gift of 300 kronor.

The following conditions apply:

the gift applies to purchases of at least 1,500 kronor
the gift can be used once per new member
the person must be a new member
the person must not previously have used a welcome gift
the gift is personal
the gift cannot be transferred
the gift cannot be redeemed for cash
the gift cannot be combined with other offers, unless expressly stated otherwise
the gift is valid for 12 months from the day it becomes available

The member who sent the invitation receives the corresponding reward when:

the invited person has become a member
the person has made a qualifying purchase
the purchase has been approved
any applicable return period has passed

You receive a SEK 300 referral voucher when a new member you invited completes their first purchase. The reward becomes available after 14 days, provided the purchase has not been fully refunded. The referral voucher can be used on purchases of at least SEK 1,500. Your friend does not need to use their welcome voucher for the purchase to qualify.

In the case of a partial return, the reward is kept as long as the remaining net amount of the order is greater than zero. In the case of a full return, the reward is cancelled.

If the purchase is returned, refunded or no longer meets the conditions, Charlie AK has the right to withdraw both rewards.

A person can only use one welcome gift, even if the person has received several invitations.

13 Bubbel in the store

Bubbel in the store is a member experience that may give the member the opportunity to bring one or more people to Charlie AK's store for, for example:

a glass of bubbel
light refreshments
an introduction to Charlie AK
styling and inspiration

The experience must be booked according to the instructions and available times shown on the website.

A request or invitation does not guarantee a booking. The booking is confirmed only once it has been approved by Charlie AK.

Alcohol is only served to persons who have turned 18. A non-alcoholic alternative shall be available.

14 Dine & Design

Dine & Design is a member experience that normally becomes available at the Insider Access level.

The experience may include dinner, drinks, styling, a presentation of the collection and access to the store for a private party.

Available dates, number of participants, content and any costs are stated in connection with the booking.

An expression of interest does not mean that a booking is confirmed.

Charlie AK has the right to decline or propose another time if availability is lacking or if the booking conditions are not met.

15 Booking and cancelling events

If you cannot use a booked time, you should cancel as soon as possible.

Unless otherwise stated, the following applies:

free experiences must be cancelled at least 24 hours before start
paid events must be cancelled according to the special conditions shown at the time of booking
failure to attend may affect the possibility of booking new events
repeated late cancellations may lead to a temporary restriction of the booking function

Charlie AK may need to change or cancel an event due to illness, safety, too few participants or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

For a cancelled paid event, the amount paid for the event is refunded. No further compensation is normally provided for, for example, travel or other costs, unless mandatory law states otherwise.

16 Membership communications

As a member you receive membership-related communication by email and, if you have provided a phone number for that purpose, in some cases by sms.

The membership communication may include:

personal invitations
information about member events and experiences
booking confirmations and reminders
information about points and cashback
information about coupons and rewards
information about membership levels and benefits
security messages
important changes to the membership or these terms

This communication is part of the membership and is needed for Charlie AK to be able to administer and provide the membership benefits.

The communication shall have a clear connection to the membership.

17 Optional marketing

General marketing that is not needed for the membership is sent according to the choices you have made.

Such communication may for example include:

general offers and campaigns
product advertising
inspiration and newsletters
information about collections that do not constitute a specific membership benefit

Receiving such marketing is voluntary.

You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in the email, through your member profile or by contacting us.

Unsubscribing from optional marketing does not end the membership and does not stop necessary membership communications.

18 Availability and changes to benefits

Events, experiences, products and other benefits may have limited availability.

A membership level or a certain number of points does not guarantee a place at an event or access to a particular product.

Charlie AK may change or replace a benefit if there is a valid reason, for example:

changed legal requirements
safety issues
technical changes
changed supplier terms
limited availability
the need to develop or maintain the membership programme

Benefits that have already been earned and become available shall normally not be made worse retroactively.

19 Changes to the membership terms

Charlie AK may change these membership terms when there is a valid need.

Substantial negative changes are normally notified at least 30 days before they take effect.

Information may be provided by email, in the member account or on medlem.charlieak.com.

Changes required due to law, authority decisions, security risks or to stop misuse may need to be implemented immediately.

If you do not accept a substantial change, you may end the membership before the change takes effect.

20 Misuse

Charlie AK has the right to temporarily restrict, suspend or close a membership account in case of suspected or established misuse.

Misuse may for example be:

fake or duplicate accounts
self-invitations
manipulation of points or purchases
unauthorised use of another person's account
selling coupons or invitations
repeated bookings without intention to attend
threatening or illegal behaviour
attempts to circumvent technical restrictions
use that conflicts with these terms

The action shall be proportionate to the violation.

In case of suspected misuse, Charlie AK may withhold points or rewards while the matter is investigated.

21 Ending the membership

You can end the membership at any time through the member account or by contacting hej@charlieak.com.

When the membership ends:

you lose access to the member account
the membership communications cease
the right to earn new points and rewards ceases
unused points, coupons and personal benefits normally expire
already confirmed or paid events are not automatically cancelled

Charlie AK may end the membership programme. If this happens, members shall be informed within a reasonable time and, where practically possible, be given the opportunity to use already earned and valid benefits before the programme ends.

22 Personal data

Information about how Charlie AK processes personal data can be found in our privacy policy.

Information about cookies and similar technologies can be found in our cookie policy.

The privacy policy and the cookie policy are information documents and do not constitute consent to processing that requires a separate voluntary choice.

23 Technical errors and temporary interruptions

We strive for the membership programme to be available and to display correct information.

We do not guarantee that the website or the membership functions are always free from temporary errors or interruptions.

In case of a technical error, Charlie AK has the right to:

correct an incorrect balance
restore incorrectly allocated points
recreate information from backups
temporarily close a function for maintenance or security

24 Liability

Charlie AK is liable according to mandatory Swedish consumer law.

Nothing in these terms limits rights that you have according to mandatory law.

To the extent the law allows, Charlie AK is not liable for indirect damage or lost benefit caused by:

circumstances beyond our reasonable control
the member having provided incorrect details
unauthorised use that the member should have informed us about
a member not having used a benefit before the validity period expired
limited availability of free events or experiences

25 Intellectual property rights

Trademarks, texts, images, design and other material on medlem.charlieak.com belong to Charlie AK or its licensors.

The membership does not give the right to copy, distribute, sell or commercially use the material beyond what is permitted by law.

26 Complaints and disputes

Contact us at hej@charlieak.com if you have a complaint or believe that a membership benefit has been handled incorrectly.

We will first try to resolve the matter together with you.

If we cannot agree, you as a consumer can turn to:

Swedish law applies to the membership.

Disputes may be tried by a Swedish general court. Mandatory consumer protection rules in the country where you live are not affected.
